With the Senate confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson yesterday, a historic milestone was reached in the US of A. That is, the first African -American woman nominated to the Supreme Court. It became a bipartisan nomination effort when three courageous Republican senators (Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney) joined 50 Democrats in the critical vote. These three also overcame the twisted attacks by the Right's worst degenerates - who also attacked Judge Ketanji Brown during her confirmation hearings, e.g.
If there was any doubt over the inherent degeneracy of the Trump-based Repuke Cult (not a party) it was revealed glaringly in how the unhinged troll Marjorie Taylor Greene unloaded on those 3 GOP Senators for voting to confirm. Greene tweeted Monday night that those three senators, and in effect all 50 Democratic senators, were “pro-pedophile.” E.g.

This disgusting, cretinous troll actually barked: "The Democrats are the party of pedophiles. The Democrats are the party of Princess predators at Disney. The Democrats are the party of teachers - elementary school teachers - trying to transition their students into a different gender. They are at the root of all the horrible, awful evil around us!"
The first question we had on seeing and hearing this was: Why isn't this unhinged loon on 24 hour watch in a DC Psych ward and given electro- shock therapy every hour? I.e. what any sentient and rational person would also ask. Especially given the alternative may well be this half-brained harpy sitting in some investigatory role if the GOP wins the House back in the fall. I can imagine it, given the current state of negative polling on Biden and the Dems, and it sends shivers down my spine and keeps me awake at night. Especially on recently learning of the record numbers registering in Pennsylvania as Republican. What do these people want, to send this nation permanently into the crapper? Do they have any remote idea of what they are doing?
What knocked me "for six" (in cricket parlance) was Hayes pointing out that now 1 in 6 Americans actually believe the horse manure that the Democrats run a child trafficking sex ring. This is basically the same deranged bunkum that underpinned the 'Pizzagate' idiocy back in 2016,
Causing one brainwashed North Carolina dreg to drive to D.C. and barge into Comet Pizza where he fired several rounds, while looking for a non-existent basement where Hillary was alleged to have kept child sex slaves. This insanity some 6 years hence has now found a home as a mind virus in the QAnon faction of the GOP cult. This is where we still are, folks, in 'screwball land' - thanks to these verminous nutcases spewing nonstop vile rhetoric - affecting the millions of palsied brains too weakened to resist the onslaught.
But those palsied, weakened brains, whom the Reeps hope they can mutate into zombie voters, are ripe for the sort of slime being hurled now by the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and her crew. This is why the notion of the Dems and their funders being pedophiles is just too juicy for Reep trolls to resist - being red neat for their deplorable, low IQ base. Or, the lower IQ slice of "swing" voters who may be swayed by any kind of emotional appeals or over the top harangues - or false claims - as they were in November with Youngkin's nonsense, e.g.
Hence their efforts trying to accuse Disney of preying on children. (MJT's "Princess predators" slur) because of the company's opposition to Florida's ham-handed 'Don't Say Gay' bill. which bans any discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity in grade school. Incredibly, some Reepo stormtrooper types including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ spokesperson, have claimed that those who oppose the bill do so because they seek to "groom" young children
And, of course, we know the Reepo fascists are now gung ho to recover lost power, especially in the House, which we know damned well (those of us with IQ in the triple digits at least) they will never wield responsibly. They will use any House control to conduct endless bogus investigations such as the ones now being prepped for James and Hunter Biden - by the likes of Sen. Chuck Grassley. Can sober and sane people not imagine the sort of hell that would be unleashed politically and governmentally if these misfits are handed the keys to the "car" again? I can.
Kudos to Rolling Stone for exposing Marjorie Taylor Greene's role in helping to coordinate the January 6th insurrection- along with another unhinged lunatic, Madison Cawthorne. The motto of serious, informed voters now must be never to award power to the Republican cult again, until such time they emerge from their miasma of hatred and psychotic conspiracy ideations. As Eugene Robinson reminds us in his recent WaPo column:
