An Easter Lunch Buffet To Remember - But You Can't Complain About "Inflation"

That would be the Broadmoor Hotel  Easter Buffet which we enjoyed yesterday. See menu below:

Perhaps the last outing we will be able to have together before we each have to deal with multiple med treatments, including yours truly for metastatic prostate cancer.  Here we are below, seated at our table:

What amazed us certainly was the sheer size of the crowd, one reason we had to wait 50 minutes to have reservations checked, in a line that never seemed to end, i.e.

And which  caused both of us to ask, how could so many afford the baseline tab of $166 each?  We suspected most paid using credit cards, which would also be consonant with a recent WSJ piece (4/6) that many are now buying groceries using credit cards. They are that short of ready funds in their bank checking accounts. (We paid for our meals with debit cards).

The dimensions of the crowd assembled were even more evident once inside the ginormous Hall,

The lunch buffet itself was more than spectacular and we gorged more on the variety of desserts than on the meats (which included prime rib of beef, roast leg of lamb, and honey baked ham - but not turkey).

On the way back home we both marveled at the repaste the Broadmoor was able to put out, but we also hoped sincerely none of those attending (especially Trumpers) would be complaining about "inflation" when they next stopped at the supermarket for eggs, bread or milk!
