Glock-Toting Bimbo Lauren Boebert Plans To Object To Certifying Biden's Election - She's A Disgrace To Colorado

The shocking election  to the House of  Representatives of  Lauren Boebert -  a bellicose, Glock-toting, QAnon-affliliated, Reeptard firebrand -  marked the low point in Colorado's 2020 general elections.  As one astute Denver Post letter writer put it:

"What is really concerning is the quality of people in the district who voted for this uneducated, crazy person to go to congress.  This is the best they've got?  That is pretty sad."

As recently as November 28, this idiot bimbo fired off a tweet asking Time if it was ready to name AOC as "communist of the year" instead of Person of the Year.  She has repeatedly insisted she  believes her election was free and fair but  has echoed Trump’s allegations of fraud for  his own loss.

Boebert, a brash QAnon lover and gun nut,  has (not surprisingly) vowed to object to certifying Joe Biden's electoral college win. (Denver Post, Dec. 25, 'Boebert to object to certifying Biden's win',  p 2A)  According to the Post account Boebert, like the other clown car of Repuke dummies and disruptors,  "have questioned the election results citing unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud and the increased use of mail ballots."

Of course, I already slammed the latter baloney in a prior post:

 But for a semi-educated idiot like Boebert this is plausibly too much to read, far less grasp. Most irksome was her fulsome justification for her upcoming objection, i.e. (ibid.):

 "As a representative sworn to defend the U.S.  Constitution,  it is my responsibility to object to the Electoral College results that were recorded under those circumstances. The American people deserve secure and fair elections. Unfortunately, the 2020 election was neither of those."

No, dummy, it is your responsibility to respect the will of the voters after state electoral vote certifications have occurred. Not to try to overturn them because your febrile brain is infected with conspiracy ideations.

Unfortunately, Boebert is the least qualified person to come to any adverse conclusions about the 2020 election. Indeed, if she had two working brain cells between those gopher ears she'd know that this election was "the most secure ever" in the words of former Trump cyber security adviser Chris Krebs.  Cripes, even Ken Buck - a diehard Trumper - admitted 2 weeks ago that Colorado's elections were secure.

This gun-toting twit who fancies Glocks - and plans to wear hers in the Capitol-    also fails to grasp that:

a) The Constitution has already been vindicated and supported after all 50 states certified their results on December 14th.  Where was Boebert at the time?  Out somewhere in back of her restaurant taking target practice? Calling her QAnon pals on how best to achieve her 15 minutes of pathetic fame?

b) "The American people"  already received what they deserved, a free, fair and secure election with Biden getting nearly 51.3 % of the popular vote and 306 electoral votes to Trump's 46.1 % and 232 electoral votes.  Hence they do not need this little bonehead to try to insert herself into the media - to make a name for herself- to "defend" their interests or election security.  If Boebert really understood the Constitution she'd process that and raise no objections to certifying Biden's Electoral College win.  Instead, the little hare-brained harpy is basically spitting on the Constitution in order to garner a fleeting fame.

The Post in an earlier account also noted Boebert's intent to "square off against AOC and the Squad".   I wish her the best of luck, but before she does  go after the Squad she'd be advised to bring more gray matter to the confrontation than bullets for her Glock.  She also ought to take seriously Sen. John Thune's warning to fellow Reeps still upset over their orange master's drubbing, noting:

"Any effort to block the election results is not going anywhere and will be shot down like a dog."

But this useless "dog" of a bimbo likely won't pay attention and will insist on making an ass of herself. In the end she's a disgrace to our state and the nation and why so many in Europe regard the U.S. as a laughing stock.  The worst part is she and her ilk keep the fires of unrest burning amongst their sorry lot and vowing some vague retribution.    What they all need is a heavy dose of ECT and anti-psychotics.

Revisiting The Basics Of Stellar Atmospheres

Modeling stellar atmospheres is typically a very complex undertaking that often requires we have detailed knowledge of stellar spectra and its behavior in different conditions.  However, it is possible to approach the topic at a rudimentary (but still useful level) by appealing to simplified assumptions.

The “gray atmosphere” is one such simplifying assumption.  First, we need to present some preliminaries.

    The Planck function describes the distribution of radiation for a black body, and can be expressed:

B(
l) = {(2 hc2)/ l5}  [1/ exp (hc/l
kT) - 1)]

where h is Planck’s constant, c is the speed of light, T is the absolute temperature, k is the Boltzmann constant, and
l, the wavelength. In the plane-parallel treatment, we take layers of the gases in a stellar atmosphere to be like layers of a “sandwich”, where ds is an element of length or path perpendicular to the layers.

-------------------
-------------------
-------------------] --------------------------------------- ds

This is opposed to employing curved layers (as would technically be the case), for which the math is many times more complex!  A more detailed plane-parallel model atmosphere is depicted below:

     As a beam of radiation (Il)  passes through parallel-layered stellar gases, there will be emission and absorption along the way. The “source function” specifies the ratio of one to the other and can be expressed:

S(
l) = e(l) / k(l)

where
l again denotes wavelength, e(l) is the emission coefficient, and k(l
)  the absorption coefficient.

In the case of simple radiation transfer in a static model stellar atmosphere (e.g. nothing changes with time), we have the relation of radiation intensity I(
l) to source function S(l):

dI(
l)/ds = -k(l)  I(l) + k(l)  S(l)

 = k(l) [S(l) – I(l)] - 0

or I(
l) = S(l)

Now, for a black body, I(
l) equals the Planck function B(l) :

So, in effect, we have:

S(
l) = I(l) = B(l
)

And this is a condition which implies LOCAL THERMODYNAMIC EQUILIBRIUM or LTE

LTE does NOT mean complete thermodynamic equilibrium!(E.g. since in the outer layers of a star there is always large energy loss from the stellar surface)

    Thus, one only assumes the emission of the radiation is the same as for a gas in thermodynamic equilibrium at a temperature (T) corresponding to the temperature of the layer under consideration.  Another way to say this is that if LTE holds, the photons always emerge at all wavelengths.

    Now, in the above treatment, note that the absorption coefficient was always written as:
k(l) to emphasize its wavelength (l
) dependence.

    However, there are certain specific treatments for which we may eliminate the wavelength dependence on absorption, and simply write e.g.
k  – to denote having the same  absorption value at ALL wavelengths!

    This is what is meant by the “gray atmosphere” approximation.

    Here is a specific application of the gray atmosphere approximation. In a particular integral, let the surface flux

p( Fo ) = 2 p (I(cos (q)) = p [a(l) + 2(b(l)/3 ]

and F
lo = S(l) t(l) = 2/3

which states that the flux coming out  of the  stellar surface is equal to the source function at the optical depth
t = 2/3
. This is the very important ‘Eddington-Barbier’ relation that facilitates an understanding of how stellar spectra are formed.

Once one then assumes LTE, one can further assume k(l) is independent of l (gray atmosphere) so that:

k(l) = k;  t (l) = t  and Flo =  Bl (T(t = 2/3) )

    Thus, the energy distribution of F
l is that of a black body corresponding to the temperature at an optical depth t = 2/3.

    From this, along with some simple substitutions and integrations (hint: look at the Stefan-Boltzmann law!) the interested reader can easily determine:

p( Fo ) = s (Teff)4 and Teff = T(t = 2/3)

where
s
is the Stefan-Boltzmann constant. Thus, the temperature at optical depth 2/3 must equal the effective temperature!

Intensity and Moments of Intensity:

    For more detailed analyses, more complex mathematics is required. However, what follows should not be beyond the ability of anyone who’s done first year calculus.  What we want is to first be able to write or express the emergent intensity as it’s depicted in Fig. 1. This is done by first writing:

Il (0,q) =   Ã²o z  Bl(t)  exp [(-tl / cos  q)] dt/ cos  q

where Bl(t)   is the Planck function, and the integral is taken from z = 0 to the point z in the interior.

 Next, since we’re dealing with the passage of radiation out of the star, we need the relevant equation of transfer.  This is best dealt with using integral with dx, and hence recasting the emergent intensity in the form:

 Il (0,q) =   òo¥  B(x)  e (-x / cos  q) dx/ cos  q

 Then the appropriate equation of transfer would be:

dI = j dx -  s I (q) dx = (j - s I (q)) dx

 or: dI/dx = j - s I (q))

 After some further manipulation, and replacing x with t:

(cos  q) dI/ dt = I (q) – j/ s

 This is the important equation, in terms of emergent intensity, that embodies the conservation of radiant energy (i.e. no more radiation can flow out of a star’s surface than can be generated within it and which approaches that surface).

 Next, we want to be able to obtain an even more improved basis for our calculations and this entails getting the moments of the intensity. These are defined as follows:

 J = 1/4p  Ã² 4p  I (q) dw   (Mean Intensity)

Where dw is an element of solid angle - defined as (A/r2) for a sphere, for example. Thus a sphere with surface area A = 4p r2  has solid angle (4p r2 / r2 ) = 4p steradians. If we are only dealing with a sliver of emergent beam of area 0.01p r2  then the element of solid angle is:

dw  =  (0.01p r2 / r2) = 0.01p  sr

Or 1/ 400 the volume of  a sphere.  The next moment is:

H = 1/4p  Ã² 4p  I (q) cos  q dw

This is defined as the “net flux” or the net energy breaching the stellar surface in units of net energy per second per unit area of that surface.

Finally, we come to the last moment of intensity:

K = 1/4p  ò 4 p  I (q) cos 2 q dw

This is the energy density.

At this stage, we are in a position to use each of the above moments to further manipulate the equation 0f transfer.  We start by multiplying the  original equation of transfer:

(cos  q) dI/ dt = I (q) – j/ s

through by 1/4p  ò 4p  I (q) dw to get:

dH/ dt = 1/4p  ò4p  I (q) dw  - 1/4p  Ã² 4p  j/ s dw

This makes use of the definition:  dH/ dt =  J -  j/ s

Example Problem: Verify the above definition using the definitions of J, H and the transfer equation.  Thence arrive at a new form for the equation.

To solve, we multiply the equation of transfer through by H, or:

1/4p  ò 4p  I (q) cos  q dw    i.e.   to get: dK/ dt = H

Or more simply: 4p H = const.

So, dH/ dt =  J -  j/ s = 0, and the equation of transfer now becomes:

(cos  q) dI/ dt = -I (q) + 1/4p  ò 4p  I (q) dw    = - I + J

From here a number of specific assumptions are made in order to not have to evaluate the integral. The main one is the Eddington approximation which will apply to the quantities J, H and K, written as follows:

 1)      J = ½(I1 + I2)

2)      H = ¼( I1 -  I2)

3)  K = J/3

Next we focus on the boundary in the plane parallel atmosphere, and note that here the optical depth t= 0, and we must have  I2 = 0 also. Since I2 = 0  then:  H = ¼ I1 and  J = ½I1 so clearly: J = 2H.  Further, K = J/3 or  (½I1)/3  so K = Ht + const.

 This follows, since we had: dK/ dC = H  or dK = H dt and we know t= 0, hence Ht + const. on integration. From this it follows that:

J = H(2 + 3 t)  and K = J/3 = 2H/3

At the boundary everywhere.

 And since  H = ¼( I1 -  I2) = const.

 I1 (t) = H(4 + 3t)  and I1 (t) =  3Ht

 A special case occurs if the mean intensity J = B, the Planck function, then (since B »  sT4/ p):

J = H(2 + 3 t)   =  sT4/ p

  Therefore, the boundary temperature (To) approaches the value of the effective (or surface) temperature when t = 0. So we have the basic relationship:

sTo 4/ p = 2H

 And: sT4  = sTo 4/ 2   [a + 3t]

In the limit of this approximation, Teff 4  = 2 To 4

And hence:    Teff  = (2)1/4 To   = 1.189 To

Problems:

1) Find the effective temperature of the Sun and the boundary temperature (To) and account for any difference.

(Take the Stefan -Boltzmann constant s = 5.67 x 10-8 W m-2 K-4  )

2) Prove   J = ½(I1 + I2)

   By integrating I in the forward and backward directions.

14 Million Desperate Americans Ought To At Least Blame The Right Culprit (TRUMP) For Scuttling The COVID - Relief Package

"The guy who effectively poured gasoline on the entire government and then flicked a lit match on it on his way out the door, has gone golfing in Florida. Not only did Trump threaten to shut down the government, to stop coronavirus relief, and throw millions of people off unemployment and hundreds of thousands out of their homes, he also vetoed the defense authorization bill. For the first time in 60 years. Out of pique that it strips the names of Confederate traitors off military bases. " Joan McCarter, smirkingchimp.com

 Tony Bowens, 31, spent nine days in a hospital in March fighting for his life against the deadly coronavirus. In many ways, he’s just grateful this Christmas to be home with his wife and two kids, even though very little is the same. As his family struggles to pay rent, he can’t believe Congress and Trump haven’t reached an agreement on aid.  In a comment left on the WaPo website, Bowens wrote:

“It feels like everybody is playing politics with people’s lives. That $600 check wasn’t much, but at least it would have been dispersed just in time.”

Bowens was among hundreds who inundated The Washington Post with messages and phone calls this evening.  All from people "on the verge of losing their homes and cars and going hungry this holiday who are stunned that President Trump and Congress cannot agree on another emergency aid package. Several broke down crying in phone interviews."

According to The Post account:

"Some blamed Trump for torpedoing a $900 billion relief package at the last minute. Others agreed with Trump that the proposed $600 checks for over 150 million American households was too little, too late and should be raised to at least $2,000. Others blamed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for not taking a deal in August."

Hold strain!  Blame Pelosi?  What are these forlorn people imbibing?  Bad Ripple?  Bad weed?  Or garbage disinfo from FOX News? It was Pelosi who tried to get them the best and most generous deal via the Heroes Act!  The only culprit in this last minute fiasco is the dyspeptic, chaotic asshole TRUMP.  He is the one who blew it up on his way out to Mar-a-Lago to continue licking his wounds over his election loss.  (Oh, and plotting more ways to trigger martial law to overturn the election in secret confabs with conspiracy freaks like Sidney Powell et al)

The Post also noted about these folks:

 "Most told The Post they are 'not political people” and are struggling to understand why Congress and the president would be able to celebrate Christmas when 14 million Americans are slated to lose unemployment aid on Saturday, the government is set to shut down on Tuesday, and an eviction moratorium that has prevented millions from losing their homes during a pandemic ends on New Year’s Eve."

I am very sorry,  but "not being political people" cannot be used as an excuse for random brain farts, mental mush misfires and not paying attention to the news cycle when your economic lives are on  the line!   And if these "non-political" people HAD  paid even minimal attention they'd have learned how Trump pitched a hissy fit and did it on his way out of the White House door for his Christmas vacay.   Call him Scrooge!

 If this walking fungal pestilence fails to sign the bipartisan -approved Covid relief bill not only will millions lose access to two federal unemployment programs (passed in March under the $2.2 trillion Cares Act) but millions more will be exposed to evictions. This is given an existing eviction moratorium is set to expire at the end of this month, which was to be extended by the aid package.   Worse, there will be a government shutdown unless Congress passes a temporary spending bill by midnight on Monday, since the government will run out of funding by then. Does Donnie Dotard care?   Hell no! He looks on this as just another "loyalty test" of the Repukes in congress, many of whom basically told the loser asswad to suck it up and move on.

Again, it's time Americans improve and enhance their knowledge of the politics that's governing their lives.  From the election system, its security aspects (including for mail-in voting)  to the Electoral College and its limits, and also their system of government- its branches and what each does.  There is no excuse for citizen malpractice or ignorance whether one is rich or poor.  As Nicole Wallace put it earlier today ('Deadline Whitehouse') , there is also no excuse for Americans to "gorge on mental garbage, disinformation and junk from social media or FOX News"  - like Morgan Spurlock did on Mickey D burgers in 'Supersize Me' -  to the point of becoming health wreckage from fast food.

 I had not intended to do a post today, but reading the WaPo account and how so many Americans (understandably  miserable at their plight) are all over the map in placing blame -  when there is only one obvious rat- infuriated me.  The lack of reality perception - never mind political insight - was simply flabbergasting. As if the Trump zombie disease was now infecting those in desperate need as well, to the point they were unable to see HE was the source of their impending calamity.

It simply beggars one's reason and credulity that these desperate people were/are unable to figure out who blew their Covid Relief package to bits.     Who sat on his fat, orange ass for 9 months while he let Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin run point for him on the negotiations, e.g.

Mnuchin’s loyalty to Trump could end with setback as president shreds relief deal

While himself- not doing a fucking thing  - oh, unless you count trying to overturn the election!   Then when a deal had finally emerged, the ratfucker blows it up on his way to his vacay.   So no, I have no patience with people who are unable to parse this out and see the real culprit. Inexcusable!

Update 12/28:  The orange-hued degenerate finally relented last night, reversed course and signed the Covid relief package.  But do not give this Turd-in -chief a medal or a kudo.  Because of his primadonna act the unemployment benefits for millions have lapsed, which means they may not see another check for weeks.   Meanwhile, they will have to scratch and scrounge  to try to survive until added benefits kick in.  According to CBS' John Dickerson this morning a major reason for this episode was Trump having a tantrum "angry at Republican leaders"  for not buying his bunkum about a "stolen election".  Meanwhile, this assrat may still be plotting a coup instead of leaving with dignity and grace - which no cockroach I know of ever possessed.  See e,g,

Let's get one thing straight: Donald Trump does not care about the American people. Whatever Trump may say, he is not threatening to blow up the coronavirus stimulus bill Senate Republicans finally agreed to pass because the bill isn't generous enough. Trump could not care less if all Americans starve to death, and he certainly isn't breaking a sweat trying to get the COVID-19 vaccine out to the public. He was not defending working Americans when he released a video calling the GOP-endorsed coronavirus bill a "disgrace" and pushing for a Democrat-friendly plan to send out $2,000 checks instead of the $600 ones Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell agreed to.

No, what's likely going on is that Trump, the self-identified master negotiator, is turning to the only negotiation tactic he's ever really known: Extortion.

Trump likely thinks he's blackmailing McConnell into stealing the election for him. While we have no direct proof this is an extortion scheme, the circumstantial evidence is abundant and compelling. Here's what we know:

"I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2,000."

Thus spake zany Donald Trump, who has tunneled his way into covid relief legislation at the 11th second, having long squandered his political influence in exchange for whining incessantly about how this cruel world hates him.
