5 Reasons Bill Maher Proved He's A World -Class Moron By Begging Biden Not To Run

Bill Maher outdoes himself with political stupidity on Biden

There’s a lot of armchair gerontologists who are wearing glasses through which they see what they want to see. The suggestion that everyone who is old is feeble, experiencing loss, decline and decay— this completely ignores the radical transformation in the last 20-30 years of the population that’s survived to older ages.-   Jay Olshanksy, Prof. of biostatistics and epidemiology, University of Illinois

How dumb is dumb?   Well, Bill Maher pleading with U.S. President Joe Biden not to  seek another term in office, saying he is the “only Democrat who can lose to Trump.”  See:

New Rule: Ruth Bader Biden | Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO) - YouTube

That is pretty goddamned dumb and maybe ranks '10' on a 10 scale of stupid. Especially after the overpaid twerp already conceded:

“I think he's done the job perfectly fine .. generally, he's restored normality,"

And sanity too, giving 'Muricans insight into how a normal, sane, rational presidency is conducted. One that isn't tweeting every ten minutes or crashing norms like so many tenpins. Not to mention having had the most success of any president in the last 30-odd years. So if he's done the job "perfectly fine"  why the need to change now  - and in the process forfeit all the power and advantages of the office to a newbie?  Maher's genius answer is he won't win because - get this - "He can 't run a campaign".

Meaning fly to multiple rallies, to give multiple speeches - in any one of which he might - oh my god! - have a slip of the tongue!  And then think of him possibly stumbling on so many attempts to climb the ramp on Air Force One. With the eyes of the media catching every footfall! Think of the optics!  They will convey incapacity, age, weakness!  And the 'Murican voters will be too dumb to see anyone electable!

Give me a fuckin' break do.  Basic  problem here: Maher conflates running the country with running a campaign.  And he already admitted Biden is perfectly fine at running the country.  So what more is there? Optics? The optics of running a presidential campaign are more critical than actually running the country?  Only in a moron's universe.  Thus, Maher entered that universe once he barked:

"Someone has to convince President Biden that if he runs again, he's going to turn the country back over to Trump and go down in history as Ruth Bader Biden."

No, he will not, dummy! Only if he cedes his favored position and leaves the race to a minor Dem 'nobody' (J.B. Pritzker, Amy Klobuchar, Josh Shapiro, Gretchen Whitmer, Gavin Newsom, Phil Murphy) will he turn the country back to Trump. Because basically that will be akin to letting a third stringer take over QB position in an NFL playoff game in which you- the starter and franchise guy - give in to fans' yelps to give the new guy rook a chance.

Maher is also oblivious to the fact if Biden were to step aside - for anything but a legit medical reason - it would set off a ferocious and messy primary process (also late in the campaign calendar) that would in all likelihood produce an inferior candidate. One unaccustomed to Trump's savagery - and minus the campaign machinery to deal with it effectively.

Maher's stupidity was also evident when he compared Biden refusing to give up another presidential run with Ruth Bader Ginsburg's refusal to give up her actual Supreme Court seat. For starters he mixes chalk and cheese by comparing a potential office with an actually held seat.  I mean, Biden isn't "giving up" anything nor can he - since he doesn't possess it yet. By contrast Bader Ginsburg held an actual SC seat (in fall of 2020) which she could have given up earlier for a younger justice's nomination.  So what Maher is really asking is for Biden to toss in the towel and not even try at another run. To quit in other words.

Maher also skips over the fact Biden is 7 years younger than Bader Ginsburg who had multiple medical issues to deal with, especially metastatic pancreatic cancer.  That ultimately caused her death at 87 - while Biden has no similar health issues- never mind the media blowhards. Indeed, he actively rides his bike, works out, and maintains a healthy diet. Unlike Trump who gobbles five quarter pounders and a box of KFC each day.

But maybe the dumbest comment of all was when Maher claimed "His age doesn't read like Biden's".  Adding:

"There is only a four-year difference between Biden and Trump, but Trump projects a younger, more vigorous person to voters because he's an insane ball of white-hot anger.”

Maher insisted this is perceived differently by the voting public than Biden and his "clumsy, grandpa-like ways."  I don't buy that but Janice - as usual- thinks most Americans are dumb enough to fall for it since they "go for the superficial".

But I will take a president with "clumsy grandpa-like ways" over a psycho and his "ball of white -hot anger" any day and twice on Sunday - especially where the nuclear codes are concerned. And no, Trump does not look "robust" he looks feral and psychotic -  like Charles Manson on speed.

Also no, Trump doesn't look like he did in 1978 "when he puts on the face paint and wig".  He looks like a goddamned bloated, orange-caked, aged swine with phony hair. I.e.

Maybe Maher needs cataract surgery to see Trump for the slobbering, unkempt, porcine orange fungus he is. Or at least better glasses before he next sounds off on the baloney that this fungal fecal asswad looks more "robust" than Biden.

So I argue IF prospective voters saw Trump as most of us with better vision (and brains)  do there'd be no issue on who the superior candidate is. There'd also be no issue on the fact that there is no Plan B to upend a Biden '24 run, nor should there be.

As a lead piece in yesterday's WSJ  (p. A4) put it:

"Publicly, top Democrats say they support President Biden running for re-election and think he can win. Privately, their worries are increasing but they are resigned to the idea that he isn’t going anywhere, and there is no viable Plan B."

They better damned well be "resigned" because we are long past the aspirational stage. It is literally 'Biden or Bust', and if losers and morons like Bill Maher don't like it, let them back the libertarian fool who will definitely toss the election to Trump. Meanwhile, any fretting Dem "bed-wetters" (one DCCC strategist's term) need to stop with the age obsession and watching or reading mainstream pundits malarkey on Biden's "incapacity".  The only incapacity is with Donald Trump who ought to have been executed as a traitor by now. But at least should be locked up for violating a judge's gag order.  'Nuff said. For now.

Excerpt:

Just hours after New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron imposed a limited gag order and directed Donald Trump to remove his social media post targeting and attacking, by name, the judge’s law clerk, the ex-president Tuesday evening issued an attack targeting the legal system, and apparently, by extension, Attorney General Letitia James.

Judge Engoron’s Tuesday order barred Trump from “posting, emailing or speaking publicly about any of my staff,” as Politico reported. The judge’s gag order did not extend to any officer of the court, witnesses, or anyone else involved in Attorney General James’ $250 million civil fraud case against Trump.

Nate Silver writes these days at his Substack site, Silver Bulletin. His most recent piece has some trenchant comments about the Democratic Party's situation with Joe Biden and the 2024 election. Worth considering as you consider the latest polling (for discussion, see video above), which purports to show Trump beating Biden by ten points.

Silver piece is titled: "It's probably too late not to nominate Biden". A bit of an awkward title, but you get the idea. In it he answers the question: Do Democrats have a better chance of winning in 2024 with a different nominee?
