Will the Right Wing Nuts Follow Their Own Injunctions?

On much of the right wing, tea bagger blogosphere, the wingnuts are going nuts, having wet dreams at a Rick Perry GOP Presidential run. These politically uneducated nimrods actually believe the fool has a chance of a snowball in hell, not realizing that what swings in Tex-Ass won’t nationally. Especially when threats are made to high officials as Perry did on the Iowa campaign trail yesterday.

In Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Monday night, Perry was asked by an audience member (affiliation unknown) what he'd do as president about the Federal Reserve. The GOP White House candidate replied,

"I’ll take a pass on the Federal Reserve right at the moment to be real honest with you."

But like all blustering Texas blowhards, his machismo and ego got the best of him, so he let his mouth sign checks his GOP-er candidacy can't cash, as he intimated Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke would be met with violence if he tried to travel to Texas:

"If this guy prints more money between now and the election. I don’t know what y'all would do to him in Iowa, but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas. Printing more money to play politics at this particular time in American history is almost treacherous, or treasonous in my opinion."

Like asshole Jesse Helms who – over 15 years ago - warned then President Bill Clinton "not to come to North Carolina", Perry offers his own Texan repetition. But, maybe we ought to take that veiled threat a lot more seriously than Helms to Clinton. After all, there's a history of such "treason" threats being fulfilled!

People may want to recall what happened to JFK in Dallas nearly 50 years ago! Discarding advice from Adlai Stevenson, who was beaten with placards and spat upon a month earlier by Dallas' wingnut rubes (for a UN Day event), JFK went anyway. Arriving in Fort Worth the first thing that greeted his eyes were ‘Wanted for Treason’ adverts in the Dallas papers. JFK was overheard to comment to one aide:

“Well, looks like the nuts have really come out of the woodwork!”

Indeed, but instead of getting the hell out of “Dodge”….errr…Dallas…....he arrived in an open limo like a lamb to the slaughter, caught in triangulated gunfire. Of course, the Right tried to blame a hapless worker, Lee Oswald- who CIA über spy maestro George Joannides (whose sealed files release the CIA continues to stonewall), set up as a Castro front. (In fact, Lee was an undercover agent working for the ONI to gather information about an extremist right wing group based in New Orleans and which planned a sniper kill in Big D.).

More to the point, as noted in a major news article one week later (‘The Enemies He Made’ in Newsweek, Dec. 2, 1963, p. 35) author Kenneth Crawford squarely pointed the finger at the Rightist extremists in Dallas, and the whole state of Texas. Crawford pointedly noted ..

"the suspicious irony inherent in a lone-pro-Castro gunman being fingered in a city (Dallas) regarded as a ‘citadel of right wing strength"

Only later did it emerge that a powerful Right wing Oil tycoon by the name of Haroldson Lafayette Hunt, was responsible for funding the Treason posters. Hunt also supported a number of fringe right extremist groups in Texas, including: The American Political Forum, The Ku Klux Klan, The John Birch Society, The Dallas Committee for Full Citizenship, The Texas White Citizens’ Council, The National States Rights Party and The Dallas White Citizens’ Council.

All of them believed the same things Perry is echoing now, including:

- Social Security is "unlawful" under the 10th amendment (a point I will return to skewer in a future blog) and

- The only valid expediture of federal monies is for defense. (Thus, Perry also wants Medicare disassembled).

Anyway, that’s relevant, though past history. Perry’s remarks yesterday show he isn’t qualified to be a dog catcher in Waxahatchie TX, far less President of these United States. No one who utters veiled threats concerning a high official visiting his state (especially given its past history) merits any megaphone or bully pulpit for the highest office in the land.

Moreover, Perry's words ought not be dismissed or diminished as a "rookie mistake" as rightist pundit blowhard John Podhoretz attempted to do. No, it was no mere "rookie mistake" but a quick but salient peek into the mind of a fascist scumball. Someone unworthy to be President!

In addition, in response to an idiot reporter’s query about whether Obama really "loves America", Perry replied: “Why don’t you go ask him?”

Huh! Hasn’t the idiocy of Obama’s "true birthplace" finally been dispelled? Well, evidently not in Tea Bag la la land.

Lastly, the boastful and bombastic wingnut bloggers who worship this chump (praising Perry as a “real American”) need to take note!

They keep arguing on their blogs that if he wins next year those of us who disagree with him, period, should “be prepared to LEAVE the country”.

Oh yeah, jackasses?

Well, how about YOU following your own advice, after Obama prevails? If you hate Obama that much, and he's re-elected next year (even in a squeaker) get the hell out of the country and start up your own! Do that, instead of remaining here, pissing and moaning and whining while you portray him in your daffy blogs with a bone through his nose, and in Nazi regalia!

Time for you asswads to take your own advice for once. America and its government, love it or LEAVE it!

Hey, maybe call your new nation, “The United Asses of the Tea Party”!

It does have a nice ring to it, for cretins!
