After Endorsing Trump's Depraved 'Lynching' Metaphor Lindsey Graham Ought To Be Hung Along Side His Master

When a rat is cornered and one has the weapon of choice aimed at its thorax it will invariably squeal in desperation and even attempt to distract with pitiful cries.  The same applies to human rats - such as Donald "Bonespurs" Trump. e,g,

 Who yesterday brought his time in illegitimate office to a new low by describing his impeachment as a "lynching" - managing yet again to create distraction and political firestorm via a racial horror applied to African Americans in the pre-Civil Rights era.  The depraved misuse of a loaded term drew justified condemnation from most lawmakers but some - like Trump ass licker Lindsey Graham - saw fit to assert::  "This is a lynching in every sense!"

Uh, no you crass, traitor -enabling SC hick, it's a lynching in NO sense,. Because the orange pestilence wasn't really strung up (see image)  and hung by his scruffy,orange traitor neck.  And for using such an explosive, racially -charged term - to describe a constitutionally lawful process-   you really ought to be strung up along side your master. 

Trump's manic, deranged identification of impeachment with lynching came within 60 minutes of career diplomat William Taylor showing up to testify for nearly 10 hours yesterday.  Taylor had flown to Washington in response to a congressional subpoena and in defiance of an administration gag order.   Politico's website quoted a source in the private briefing as saying Taylor’s opening statement was 15 pages long and prompted “a lot of sighs and gasps”. Taylor was brought out of retirement in June after the former ambassador to Kyiv, Marie Yovanovitch, was abruptly removed from her post.

In diplomatic texts released by Congress, it is Taylor who most clearly expresses the quid pro quo being presented to the Ukrainian government by Trump’s emissaries, and his deep concern about it.  This was most glaringly exposed in his Sept. 9 missive to Sondland, e.g.

“I think it’s crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign,”

According to Taylor’s opening statement, published by the Lawfare website,  Gordon Sondland  (U.S.  ambassador to EU), made clear in a phone call that both military aid and a White House meeting with Trump were dependent on the launch of two investigations.  One was into a Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, which had employed Hunter Biden, the son of former vice-president and 2020 Democratic contender Joe Biden. The second was into Ukraine’s role in the 2016 election.   Both fall under the category of debunked conspiracy codswallop.

In Taylor's words:

"During that phone call, Ambassador Sondland told me that   President Trump had told him that he wants President [Volodymyr] Zelenski to state publicly tht Ukraine will investigate Burisma and alleged Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election,” 


He added:

“Sondland said ‘everything’ was dependent on such an announcement, including security assistance…President Trump wanted president Zielinski in a “public box” by making a public statement about ordering such investigations.”

Taylor discovered on  July 18th that military aid to Ukraine had been suspended, but it was initially unclear why. Taylor discovered that the hold had been ordered by the White House acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, on the instructions of the president who, Taylor was told, “doesn’t want to  provide any assistance at all”.

Taylor said that Sondland had told him the conditions had been laid down to him by Trump personally. Taylor also learned from a senior White House official about a 7 September phone conversation between Trump and Sondland in which the president insisted there was no quid pro quo for Ukraine, but in the same call Trump “did insist that President Zelenskiy go to a microphone and say he’s opening investigations of Biden, and the 2016 election interference”.

Democratic representative Stephen Lynch, a senior member of the House oversight and reform committee, was quoted in Politico as saying the testimony was a “sea change” that “could accelerate” the impeachment inquiry.

New Jersey representative Tom Malinowski said it was “the most thorough accounting we’ve had of the timeline”.  WaPo scribe Dana Milbank affirmed that it was testimony that "Could end a presidency"  and let us hope so.  Because as NY Times columnist Michelle Goldberg put it in a column two days ago, the survival of this nation may not wait another year for an election that finally dumps Trump.  As she wrote:

"as Donald Trump’s sneering lawlessness and stupefying corruption continue to escalate, it’s confounding, at least to me, that Americans aren’t taking to the streets en masse....  You can’t count on an election to restrain the president when the president is using the power of his office to subvert the election with foreign interference. Each day, it seems, Trump and those around him become increasingly brazen in their lawbreaking."

 We also know he will become ever more crazed like the cornered, rabid rat he is. As NY Times political columnist Peter Wehner put it on 'Last Word' Friday night:

"What's happening now is Trump's pathologies are getting worse  and the guardrails are disappearing. So what we're seeing now is the worst of Trump, but it's going to get worse going forward."


Trump suspended $400m in military aid to Ukraine a few days before a 25 July phone call to Zelenski. In the released version of the call, when the Ukrainian president raised the matter of US military support Trump responded: “I would like you to do us a favor though... …”

Trump then asked for the investigations. 'Quid pro quo' in neon lights.

This was obviously as clear a constitutional violation as it gets given the one thing the Founders feared most (along with obtaining funds from foreign governments via emoluments) was using foreign governments to interfere in our elections.

Despite the Trumpites yelping like idiots this is a "kangaroo court" it is nothing of the sort. It is tantamount to the same process one beholds with a grand jury - and not every party can therefore chime in or have his say. As noted in the most recent NY Times editorial:  

"The House’s impeachment inquiry is not a trial. It is more akin to a grand jury proceeding, where information is gathered and considered for the purposes of handing up an indictment. Any trial would be held in the Senate, with Mr. Trump represented by lawyers able to make all the substantive and process challenges he likes."

We need Trump to be removed by the Senate ASAP as the depraved pestilence he is.  If the Reepos really are worried about the country being fractured by impeachment they will help expedite - rather than obstruct - the process, and then convict and remove this rat in the culminating Senate trial.

To use the standard schoolboy analogy of what transpired yesterday in the House Judiciary "Impeachment" Hearings,  Corey Lewandowski kicked pebbles in the Dems' faces, spat on them, took their lunch money then stuffed them all into lockers.  That was how bad it was as this detestable imp tried to invoke "executive privilege" when he'd no longer even been near the White House or the executive branch.

In other words, the Trumpie maggots have now mocked the House Democrats and their pursuit of oversight even more, nearly turning them into political cuckolds. On 'All In' last night Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee sounded ominous notes of how Lewandowski would be held accountable, but under pressure from Chris Hayes she could offer no real steps to achieve that end.  Find him in contempt? Sure, but then what?  Unless he's actually tossed into a jail - like an ordinary person would be - it means nada. As Chris put it:

"Here's the problem. The White House has exerted extremely broad power to stop witnesses including for people not even currently working in the administration, to testify at all. The privilege they are invoking is extremely controversial in legal circles, and some are even talking about a blanket immunity, i.e. 'You can't talk to anyone we don't want you to talk to'.  That's the fundamental issue and the question is you can't actually do anything until you break that. So how do you break that?"

Fair question. So how did Rep. Jackson Lee respond?

"You're absolutely right and we're in the courts. We insist we have the right to question Mr. Porter, Mr. Dearborn, Mr. Mc Gahn.  We're hoping positively that we will prevail in court.  Not later, but sooner than later. The courts will see that we have nothing but obstruction, not from the particular witnesses but from the President of the United States.  We cannot have witnesses disrespecting the Article I body which is the United States congress."

TO which Chris replied:

"You keep saying you 'can't have this'  but that's what you did have yesterday."

Indeed, Lewandowski taking the Dems' lunch money and stuffing them into lockers without any punch back or response.  Then laughing as the  Reepo bullies and reprobates urged him on.

Rep. Jackson Lee herself, bless her heart, didn't seem to realize that Trump's M.O. through his history has been to play the long game in the courts, and winning more often than not. Hence, depending on the courts to find justice is a fool's errand.

As one Politico reporter put it after the hearings, on MSNBC - replying to the standard 'What can they do?' question from anchor Nicole Wallace:

"First, file articles of impeachment.  Then stop any cooperation with Trump including on his trade bills or farm bailouts. The way it is now he isn't being punished for his bad behavior, so he will keep on doing it."

Former VP Al Gore provided the best response at the end of last night's 'All In':

"I do get the political calculus, but it can't end up there.  Because of the risk that we end up normalizing the most obscene behavior I've ever seen from a President of the United Stated. And if we did not challenge this behavior I think we'd be making a mistake.  Yes, the Senate in its present form would fail to convict. But I think we have an obligation beyond all of that to the Constitution."

Indeed. So either the Constitution means something or it is just a piece of paper. Either the House in its Article I oversight role has equal power and authority to the executive, or it is merely a redundant sham and anachronism.  The Democrats' failure to act decisively and aggressively has only emboldened the criminal in the Oval Office more - and at the same time made the House Dems appear neutered- or political eunuchs. So the power they wrested from the GOP in the 2018 midterms with a "blue wave", amounts to nothing - because they're unable to use it, or they refuse to use it.

 As we approach the political high season for the 2020 campaign the Dems can either continue their exercise in euphemisms and posturing or finally hold the Swine -in- chief to account along with all his lackeys and enablers.  Yes, there are attendant political risks but there are also political risks for doing nothing and being made to look like impotent political cuckolds. We will see which risk is activated more in the general election next year!

Anyone who's observed the events of the past two weeks, including the continued stonewalling by Trump in releasing any documents,  AG Barr's turning a specious investigation on the FBI and other investigators of the Russia intrusion, and Trump giving Barr carte blanche to release sensitive intel files that put sources at risk (while barking the dog whistle of "Treason!") ,  knows we are hurtling toward a fascist, autocratic state.  Effectively, this Hitler clone, as even my long time German friends agree, is attempting to criminalize all political opponents just as Hitler did with his "Enabling Act" and Reich laws.

Add to that an effort to invoke the 1917 Espionage Act to prosecute Julian Assange, which would extend to the whole of the press and 1st amendment itself  - and this is a no brainer.  As author and history writer John Meacham put it Friday on MSNBC's 'Last Word':

"He's criminalizing dissent on one level. With the FBI, he's attempting rhetorically to criminalize the execution and mechanics of the rule of law.  It's not a heck of a lot more complicated than that... He's using a charged term to create a sense of anxiety and paranoia to get his supporters in a place where assent for Trump is a patriotic act.  By doing so he's throwing 243 years of constitutional history away.

The framers had this right. They were worried about demagogues, they were worried about exactly this type of person."

More worrisome, those of us who've watched Trump's relentless attack on norms the past two years (eroding them to the point of irrelevance), and who are also steeped in world and U.S. history, are understandably alarmed.  This is because we can see the progression (regression?) and know what it leads to, i.e. having studied Germany's history in the 1930s while also having had the advantage of talking to actual Germans - including former Wehrmacht soldiers - alive at the time, e.g.


The photo above was taken in the Teutoburger Forest in May, 1985, with two former Wehrmacht soldiers-   on my left (Hans) and right (Dieter).  Reinhardt - to the left of Hans- acted as interpreter.  Both former soldiers agreed Hitler was a total crazy person (Verrückt!) who never should have been made Chancellor.  Similarly, Reinhardt -  still alive -  agrees Trump never should have been president.

Why is all this germane? Because we damned well know in retrospect how democracies fall!  We beheld it (those of us who've studied history) in the case of the Weimar Republic of Germany, and we're seeing the replay now though too many of our countrymen remain asleep at the wheel.   These somnolent, complacent citizens would do well to read 'How Democracies Die' by Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt.

Those who take the time to read the book, and have scratched their heads about the import of norms, will soon come to grasp they are the glue that holds democracies together.  Thus, the fragile nature of democracies exists precisely because they depend on competing actors, parties to agree to accept common norms. The nature of democracy insists these should not have to be made into laws and enforced, which would destroy the cooperative and volitional aspects.

At the same time, our whole system of checks and balances hangs on accepting these 'volitional' norms, not flouting them.  Attack and subvert the norms and they cease to act as bulwarks of democracy.  This is precisely why demagogues like Hitler and Trump always undermine and weaken the norms first.   This inevitably occurs once they are placed in a position of power, Hitler after losing the popular vote in 1933 (attaining only 36.8%) and Trump in 2016 after losing the popular vote by almost 3 million.

Hitler became Chancellor in January, 1933 on account of a reckless decision by then winning President Paul von Hindenburg, i.e. from Wikipedia: "Although Hitler lost the presidential election of 1932, he achieved his goals when he  was appointed chancellor on 30 January 1933. On February 27, Hindenburg paved the way to dictatorship and war by issuing the Reichstag Fire Decree which nullified civil liberties."

 Trump became president in December, 2016 on account of myopic, reckless electors who rubber- stamped an electoral college win, instead of applying the Hamilton standards not to insert a proven demagogue into office.  I.e. those standards as articulated in Federalist # 78:

"The process of election (by state electors) affords a moral certainty that the office of President shall never fall to the lot of any man who is not to an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications...."

Once in power, both Hitler and Drumpf  knew they needed to attack and destroy the applicable norms,  which is what they did.  Once each had become freed by erosion of the norms they could then harness the "referees" (judicial system), i.e. forcing judges to retire, stacking the courts with others who do their bidding, appointing high judicial officials to carry out their agenda against political opponents and stifling and attacking the press.

Hence, Trump's moves in the past week, to enable Barr to go after sensitive intelligence files and release them for a pseudo investigation, and seeking to prosecute Assange under the 1917 Espionage Act, fully fall into the Hitlerian playbook.  In effect, tilting the playing field permanently against all political opponents as a prelude to criminalizing and punishing them.  It is quite evident now that the American political system is under threat on all three identified fronts:  weakened judiciary, disabled press, captured 'referees' to do autocrat's bidding to persecute political opponents.


As the past two weeks have revealed, Fuhrer Drumpf is now on a tear to out-Hitler, Hitler.  And before anyone mentions "Godwin's Law", I already skewered that malarkey years ago.  It is a common and stupid fallacy that seems to have spread around the net that we are all to beware that "if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Adolf Hitler or his deeds." 

The corollary to Godwin's law  has been deemed even more canonical, i.e.  that "anyone who introduces Nazis or Adolf Hitler in a debate or discussion automatically loses by default". Of course,  this is arrant codswallop. If the comparison is applicable then we are enjoined to make use of it, and this is more and more the case with Donald John Trump. No, he hasn't launched concentration camps yet- but he is destroying norms and practices on a pace to what Hitler did - to Weimar Germany - from 1930 to  1933., ultimately leading to the Enabling Act, e.g.

The preceding provides a cautionary tale,  contrary to many pundits who beseech us to "chill"  because our Constitution will save us.  Well, not the way Trump and his fellow fascists have neutralized all checks and balances, with no courageous people coming forward to answer the true patriot's call.  Even Robert Mueller, evidently.

In the words of Levitsky and Ziblatt:

"American democracy is not an exception as we sometimes believe. There's nothing in our Constitution or our culture to immunize us against democratic breakdown."


Especially if the other party helps to destroy existing norms, and by extension checks and balances, because it seeks to protect and enable the fascist autocrat at the source.

WaPo columnist Dana  Milbank recently made the case even more cogently in the mainstream press.  This was based on a 'FACTBase' analysis of Trump's rhetoric and behavior compared to other demagogues in the last 100 years:

"But if Trump is without peer in the American political tradition, he unfortunately has equals in another tradition. Such rhetoric is a hallmark of totalitarianism. 

It’s using emotion to circumvent reason, to overwhelm reason,” says Jason Stanley, a Yale philosopher specializing in language and author of the book “How Fascism Works.”

Stanley then related to Milbank the core of the autocratic Trump dynamic:

“He wants to get the situation such that it’s a crisis and there’s such fear and suspicion that the only happiness, the delivery, is winning over his enemies, Hence, the lavish praise of and great love for his supporters and the unalloyed vitriol toward foreigners, racial minorities, elites and socialists."

Trump 's praise for despotic tyrants like Kim Jong Un should also be mentioned here, as he believes a slime like Kim over his own security  personnel, i.e. as to whether North Korea has adhered to UN resolutions on missile testing. 

 Stanley adds:

"Goebbels talks about propaganda being best when it appeals to straightforward emotion: fear, suspicion, anger, and then it would be culminated with ‘we’re winning,’ ‘we’re going to get them,’ with extremes of paranoia and then praise of ‘us,’ ‘our’ greatness, and a desire for revenge for lost greatness. . . . When our emotions are being overwhelmed, it’s because people are trying to manipulate us and drive us toward a desired goal."

Again, straight out of the Hitler-Trump playbook. What about Trump supporters who I've also compared to the "Good Germans". Stanley informs Milbank(ibid.):

"His supporters, lovingly embraced, feel as though they’re in on the joke; they know he often lies, but they believe he’s lying for them — lying to the liars. Us-vs.-them thinking becomes so powerful that the enemy’s humiliation can be more gratifying than one’s own betterment"  

 This, of course, was the case with Hitler's supporters as well, evident when one watches archival films, as I had been shown by my late friend Kurt Braun, in 1978 and 1985. 

The difference between our situation now and the enforcement of the Enabling Act and Reichstag Fire Decree in the Germany of the 1930s is that there is still time to avert the rush to perdition.  There is still time to avoid the repeat of history from that era, but it requires: a) citizens grasping that we are in a 4 alarm fire condition right now, and b) People of substance, power to step forward to combat the corruption and dissolution of law.  

 That means citizens being alert to Trump's moves and not succumbing to his distractions, e.g. the Pelosi fake video, and people like Robert Mueller speaking openly in public forums. It also means more than one Republican (like Justin Amash) with the courage to stand up and oppose Trump's lawless rule.

Citizens are waiting, the nation is waiting.  But we can't wait too long before time runs out - as the Germans discovered to their horror in January, 1933.

As most of us know, it is standard procedure among most law enforcement agencies not to reward terrorists or hostage takers with payouts.  The reason is simple: Though the refusal to give in may likely cost lives, it is much worse to reward such vile behavior and encourage further hostage taking, terror in the future.  The exact same holds true with the current domestic terrorist named Donald Drumpf occupying the Oval Office. The selfsame mutt threatening all manner of mayhem - and even trying to blame the Dems for the deaths of two migrant kids.

Over the weekend this 2-legged maggot slimeball doubled down on his wall insanity, talking at Democrats but not with them in a series of confrontational tweets. Let us again register for the record that this demented fucker does not want a wall, he wants a fight - an open political fight (or reality show) - in which he is seen as being the winner.   If this asshole truly wanted a wall for "security" - as political commentator Ezra Klein noted two weeks ago-   he'd have signed off on the $25 billion offered over the summer. He didn't do that, crapping all over the deal instead.  Just like barely a week ago he saw himself  harshly criticized in the Reich media  by Limbuagh, Coulter, Ingraham & company and then turned around and crapped on a CR that was voted on by 100-0 in the Senate. He rejected the continuing resolution because a gaggle of right wing lowbrows and blowhards blew a gasket and called little Donnie Dotard names ("gutless").

While a mentally functional and normal president would never have tuned into these degenerates in the first place, that's not Trump's way given all he does these days is watch cable TV (FOX). Oh, and tweet bullshit and lies.   In the latest outburst, typical of the dyspeptic, lying shithead he is,  he tweeted,  seemingly  impervious to mounting criticism over his lack of outreach, much less mental stability:

"I am in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come on over and make a deal on Border Security"

Well, you can wait until Hell freezes over and "Satan" turns into the Abominable Snowman!  Because you are the turd that wanted this fiasco, and now you have to live with it. NO one is going to give you a buck more for your fucked up "wall".  Oh, did I say Trump has issues with his mental stability? Yeah, but we've known that for donkey's years.

But since a turd never loses its ordure nature - even when separated from the source-  no one will be surprised that on Saturday afternoon, Trump tried a more inflammatory tactic: “Any deaths of children or others at the Border are strictly the fault of the Democrats and their pathetic immigration policies that allow people to make the long trek thinking they can enter our country illegally. They can’t. If we had a Wall, they wouldn’t even try!”

In any other universe, that is to say one where the rules are followed, and political or domestic terrorists are held to account, Trump would be in a rubber room at Bellevue by now.  He'd be strapped down to a table, bound in a strait jacket and administered electro-convulsive shock therapy.  But since we are in a parallel world where only norms - not laws - exist, he is instead able to project insults, threats and terror from the White House where he's holed up like a rabid rat. 

Speaking of rodents, Dotard has kept out of the public eye (like all such vermin, as well as cockroaches) since he triggered this shutdown. That was except for a 29- hour surreptitious trip to Iraq to brag lies to the troops  they were going to get a "10 percent pay raise".    He lied like he lied to Pelosi and Schumer he was going to "own" the shutdown, take the blame for it, then when the heat got turned up - turned imp and blamed the Dems.  (Newsflash to Mueller: It's now time to take out the trash.)


Still, one of the sadder aspects of this whole sordid mess is how the mainstream media is as yet unable to outright say  WHO the guilty party is. So we see and hear bollocks like:

"The blame game goes on!  Each side blames the other for the consequent government shutdown, the effects of which grow more severe."

Or.  "And the constant back and forth between Trump and the Dems never seems to end."

Which makes one wonder if the press, media are retarded, temporarily blind,  gobsmacked by Trump or just plain lazy.   Obviously, it is Trump who is to blame and he even took ownership for a shutdown before it happened!  See e.g.

Trump Has Already Been Defeated and He’s Never Getting His Wall — Here’s How We Know

It is true there is increasing collateral damage from Trump's political terror and  hostage taking. About 800,000 federal employees are either at home or working without pay on "furlough", but that's merely the tip of the looming iceberg. Federal payments to some farmers hit by Trump’s trade war with China will be put on hold from next week. The work of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is increasingly affected, and 14,000 are soon to be furloughed - never mind a major toxic spill may occur.  Oh, and for those millions of other federal workers, including 1.2 m   grantees and  4 m full time contractors who will have to pay their rents soon, here's a chestnut to process:  The Trumpie Scum have suggested these workers "trade their services for rent".    As Tony Reardon, president of the National Treasury Employees' Union put it on CNN Saturday: "I think it's disgusting. It's wrong to treat human beings that way!  Well, Tony, look at how this walking, talking cockroach treated child migrants, confining them in cages. They were humans too, right? 

By the end of another month, many more agencies will be affected    As this hostage -taking terror by Trump goes on there will be many more casualties:  "500,000 Postal employees, 1.3 million active duty personnel, and the 4.5 million Americans whose jobs depend on the spending of the federal workforce."  (Paul Light, WSJ, 'The Hidden Cost of a Government Shutdown',  December 28, p. A15)

Another disgusting lie spouted by the slime is that it is mostly all Democrats affected. Do not believe this twaddle for a nanosecond. The victims are across the political spectrum, and it's millions not just the "800,000" the media repeatedly parrots. (See the WSJ piece cited in the previous paragraph.) Trump is nothing if not an equal opportunity  terrorist who waylays the military men and women as well as EPA scientists, post office workers and the janitors in the various agencies. 

While I can certainly sympathize with all of these Trump victims, they are basically in the same position as hostages taken by a demented terrorist.  The difference is that in this case the terrorist happens to (unjustifiably) hold the office of the president of the United States.  Still, he IS a terrorist as every act he's done in the past 8 months shows. In fact, not only a terrorist but a traitor who has served as a Manchurian candidate for Putin, as well as a tool for Turkey's autocrat Recip Erdogan.   In other words, he is a worm, a slime and active refuse- but with hostages nonetheless.

Sadly, this terrorist cannot be rewarded any more than if it was a high level ISIS vermin who'd taken prisoners.  That means, above all, the Democrats cannot give into his insane demands, not now, not ever.  However long this thing drags on, it is up to Trump and the Republicans to end it. Pelosi will send a gov't opening bill to the Senate this week and if Mitch McConnell doesn't get a veto-proof majority to sign it, it's also on him. He cannot claim innocence or try to fob the blame on the Dems.

For those federal workers at risk, I suggest bombarding the White House with calls and emails to cease and desist this perfidy. I also suggest emailing, calling or writing the terrorist Right wing clique who put Trump up to this shit.  That includes Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, and Fox and Friends.   Serious, committed citizens might also give Mick Mulvaney a piece of their mind too.

On Friday, Mulvaney, told Fox News: “There’s not a single Democrat talking to the president … about this deal.”    Mulvaney also sought to pin blame on the incoming House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, whom the administration has sought to portray as a prisoner of the left of her party. But neither Trump nor anyone from his administration has spoken to Pelosi since the 11 December Oval Office meeting. Justin Goodman, a spokesman for the Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer, told reporters: “For the White House to try and blame anyone but the president for this shutdown doesn’t pass the laugh test.”

Mulvaney, of course, is hoist on his own petard as Paul C. Light (WSJ, ibid.) makes clear regarding Mulvaney's knowledge of the "blended  federal workforce".  This is given he approved last year's "analytic perspectives" on the 2019 budget. These "delineated the two federal workforces: the contractors and the regular federal workers".  So, as it turns out Mulvaney is a rat as well  and accessory after the fact in Trump's shutdown terrorism, given (ibid.):

"Not mentioning the indirect workforce reveals just how much the administration wants to minimize the effect of an indefinite shutdown in the eyes of the public.....Meanwhile, Mulvaney can only hope that Wall Street doesn't notice the threat to economic performance.""

So just as Drumpf's odious lies and malfeasance in office must be exposed, so must Mulvaney's PR moves to try to minimize the shutdown effects.  That not only are millions of jobs at risk, but the income from them and the economic benefits to the communities in which they're found.

It is now in every patriot's interest to inveigh against these unAmerican interlopers- the entire sordid axis from Trump, to Mulvaney to the Right wing media that egged them on to do a shutdown. 

Above all, it is important to keep reminding friends, acquaintances and others this is TRUMP'S shutdown. He wanted it and he now owns it.  It is up to him to man up and end the hostage taking of ALL federal workers!

Disclaimer:  No, I do not suffer from the mythical "Trump Derangement Syndrome". I am a fully rational as well as thinking American patriot - descendant of Revolutionary War ancestors - who is  prepared to call out the Trump infestation for what it is.  No euphemisms, no politically correct bullshit and no passes for what Drumpf  is doing to this nation!
