Trump's Hate Tweets And Rally Rhetoric Spawn Yet Another Slaughter - In El Paso

All of the white nationalist  mass murderers have taken their cues - and xenophobic  hate memes  - from Trump's hate rhetoric at his rallies.

"Mr. President, stop your racist, hateful anti-immigrant rhetoric.  Your language creates a climate which emboldens violent extremists."  - Sen. Bernie Sanders yesterday.

"The president’s appalling goal, quite simply, is to pit Americans against one another for crass political purposes as well as, it seems, to vent his unabashed personal prejudice.-  Susan Rice, NY Times,  'When The President Is A Bigot The Poison Spreads;

"Clearly. anti-Semitism and white nationalist rhetoric did not start with this president. But...he certainly seems to have created an environment where those kind of views can fester and indeed, thrive. In fact, just three months ago as he was stoking up a crowd in Panama City Beach, Florida this happened....."  John Oliver, 'Last Week Tonight', last night.

Whereupon Oliver switched to a clip of a screaming mob at a Trump Rally in Florida where a woman shouts "Shoot them!" after Trump asks what can be done about immigrants. (See below)

---
Even as we learned yesterday the human pustule Trump (I refuse to even dignify him with "president") actually said “hate has no place in our country” - those with IQs over room temperature  knew immediately it was a LIE.  For Trump,  hate has a major place in our country and especially in his 2020 campaign rallies.  Indeed, in yesterday's Denver Post (p. 10A) it was made plain that despite Trump aides trying to get him to focus on the economy for re-election,  we learned "he thrives on division and views unease and discord about cultural and demographic changes  as keys to his re-election. "

Thus, his  efforts to get a "citizenship" question on the 2020 census as well as stoking anti-immigrant hate and rhetoric - such as in Greenville, NC not long ago. See e.g.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2019/07/29/send-her-back-chants-trump-rally-open-wounds-greenville-nc/1828979001/

Trump,  ever willing to dodge responsibility for his hate-filled rhetoric and memes,   blamed the shootings on "mental illness".  His enablers and defenders in the Reich media - and his own staff -  tried to do likewise.  For example, Mulvaney yesterday citing the POS shooter's words  to deny any  responsibility for Trump, as if the killer's words mean diddly or squat.  Then we beheld the WSJ  editorial writers today (p. A18), insisting the "reflex is to blame one's political opponents".    Nope, the rational response is to lay blame where it belongs:  on leaders who take every opportunity to sow hate against immigrants and other out groups with their inflammatory rhetoric. Thereby creating a "justifiable homicide" zone within weak or aberrant minds to carry out horrific actions.

By the middle of the editorial the WSJ authors did finally see the light (at least in terms of political fallout), writing: "Either Mr. Trump restrains his rhetoric or he will pay a political price."

It was also choice seeing Trump bark that "hate has no place"  when at the same time his aides had been desperately trying to remove his anti-immigrant tweets. Can't have any inculpatory stuff hanging out there in cyberspace to blame the POS....errrr, POTUS.

Meanwhile, Dotard -   obviously with a profound consciousness of guilt-    did his level best to stay out of sight, e.g.

https://www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2019-08-04/after-pair-of-mass-shootings-trump-remains-out-of-sight

This even as we learned investigators in El Paso confirmed that the massacre -  at a Walmart superstore on Saturday that left at least 20 people dead  - had been preceded by the suspected gunman publishing an anti-immigration screed on 8chan .  Lets us remind ourselves this website has been among the more fetid cesspools of the internet, encouraging  verbal and actual violence.  It was also the site that spawned the screeds of two other mass murdering degenerates:  the Tree of Life Synagogue slayer Robert Bowers, and the mass-murdering maggot, Brenton Tarrant (who live-streamed his slaughter of 51 innocents in a Christchurch, NZ mosque)   Tarrant was actually praised by the El Paso killer also on 8chan, which prompted its own creator,  Fredrick Brennan (now detached from it) to tweet, "Another 8chan shooting.".  (WSJ, today, 'Killings Put Fringe Website In Spotlight', p. A7)

Fortunately, that site's network provider, Cloudflare, has now pulled its plug, grasping how it's become a nest of vipers . As I said before,  hate speech cannot be free speech.

Only a simpleton or Z-grade moron would fail to make the connection between Trump's assorted anti-immigrant  rhetoric and the spate of mass slaughters (such as the one in El Paso, as well as at the Tree Of Life synagogue last year in the U.S. and the more recent slaughter of 51  Muslims in Christchurch, NZ.)   Thus, right thinking Democrats and other people of conscience have correctly  pointed at Trump’s escalating vocal attacks on migrants at the border and on members of Congress of color, including inflammatory comments and posturing that sparked a crowd at a rally last month to chant “send her back”, i.e.  about Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar.   This is why many of us fear for Omar's safety, that some Trumpie kook - having imbibed his hate kool aid- doesn't crawl out of 8chan  or some  other viral crawlspace and attempt to off her.

Of course, the slimey refuse - like El  Paso mass butcher Crusius-   all lie themselves, as when Crusius  tried to deny Trump influenced him. (And Mick Mulvaney tried to use Crusius' words to deny Trump's responsibility).   In Crusius' case, he insisted his anti-immigrant hate stance was there before Trump arrived. But this walking turd also said (in the same screed) that it would be "better to die than be captured alive".  And yet the cowardly cockroach allowed himself to be captured alive, walking up to a motorcycle cop after committing his mass slaughter and  casually asking to be cuffed.  So who are you going to believe, Crusius or your lying eyes?

We also know the toxic change in the country since Trump's arrival has been documented and verified by the SPLC .  The organization (to which I belong) has found the number of U.S. hate groups hit a record high last year at 1.020.  Most appalling, the number has jumped 30 percent since 2014, and followed three consecutive years of decline following President Obama's time in office.  The center also noted: "The rise in the hate movement coincides with President Trump's campaign and presidency."

I know the average American has the attention span of a gnat, and even less memory of recent political events, far less historical or violent ones. But it shouldn't be too much of a stretch or mental demand  to recall the incendiary words of the Swine-in-chief  have often spilled out in tweets just before major massacres.  Such as at the Tree Of Life Synagogue near Pittsburgh, which massacre  was carried out by Robert Bowers - also admittedly hyped up on Trump's hate..

Is Trump partly responsible for triggering these murderous misfits like Bowers and Crusius? Is the Sun a star?  Does a bear shit in the woods? Is gravity real? Dotard has regularly called reporters "enemies of the people" and encouraged his zombies to "knock the crap out of protesters". A good summary of Trump's rhetoric, in speeches and ties to Neo-Nazis, appeals to White Nationalists can be found here.
https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/intelligence-report/2018/2017-year-hate-and-extremism

Oh, and let's not forget how - at a recent rally in Panama City, Beach FL  when Trump rhetorically asked how one could deal with the influx of immigrants, and a Trumpie loon shouted: "Shoot them!" Whereupon our illustrious Turd-in chief laughed. e.g.
https://www.vox.com/2019/5/9/.../trump-panama-city-beach-rally-shooting-migrants

As noted at the PBS website concerning the same rally:

At the rally in Panama City Beach, Florida, Trump told the crowd that the government is unable to attack migrants trying to cross the border and asked for help finding a solution.

“Don’t forget, we don’t let [border security agents]and we can’t let them use weapons,” Trump said of federal border security officials tasked with apprehending immigrants crossing into the United States from Mexico. “Other countries do, but we can’t. I would never do that. But, how do you stop these people?”

“Shoot them,” a rally attendee shouted.  Trump paused and smiled as the crowd cheered and laughed, then chimed in,  'It's only in the Panhandle you can get away with that ...."
Seriously?

No effort at all to quell the rabid response just as there was none in Greenville, NC when chants erupted to "Send her home!"   We have a criminal  vermin maggot occupying the highest seat of power and egging on his drugged miscreants and deplorables with ever more virulent racist and anti-immigrant tweets.  This is ample reason to ensure this execrable maggot doesn't get another 4 years.  Personally, I don't believe the country could survive it.  Another reason the Dem House ought to be impeaching his sorry orange ass right now- no more making excuses, and dodging constitutional duty.

Fortunately, after some 8 years the FBI is finally doing something substantial about domestic terrorism - which all these mass shootings against Muslims, Jews and immigrants are tied to.  This followed FBI Director Chris Wray's announcement yesterday that a new unit has been set up to deal with these nutso home-grown extremists directly.  But Mr. Wray should know, as well as the rest of us, that until the source of the hate memes is removed, the hate will continue. Even if it burrows deeper underground like a nest of toxic roaches keeping out of sight as they manufacture their poisons- and spawn new copy cat murdering garbage.

'Nuff said.

"MAGA Bomber" Terrorist Busted For Mail Bombs: Will The Right's Degenerates Now Crawl Out Of The Land of Denial?

The Trumper mutt - Cesar Sayoc- in MAGA cap at Trump rally. Now known as the "MAGA Bomber" after his mass assassination threat.

The jig was up today at about 1:00 p.m. MT when the FBI and DOJ released details of the mail ("MAGA") bomber: a confirmed Trumpie by the name of Cesar Sayoc. Investigators found Sayoc after finding a latent fingerprint on the envelope sent to California Rep. Maxine Waters, which has been confirmed to belong to him,  FBI chief Chris Wray said. They also believe there is DNA on other packages.

Sayoc has been charged with five federal crimes, including interstate transportation of an explosive, illegal mailing of an explosive, threats against former presidents, threatening interstate commerce, and assaulting current and former federal officers, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said at a press conference.. He faces up to 58 years in prison.

We also now know this domestic terrorist is no "leftist". He's a 56-year old registered Republican, has Trump designs festooned all over his van (including one with a Hillary Clinton image and a sniper's cross hairs overlaid). An image of the van is shown below:
No automatic alt text available.

His Twitter account is also loaded with pro-Trump B.S. and hate for Trump's political opponents, almost fully reflecting the hate displayed on his van..

In fact, Sayoc is an open and outspoken Trump supporter with a long trail on social media. He posted memes attacking some of the targets of the bombs, including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and promoting conspiracy theories about them. And he posted fervent support for Trump, including images of himself at a Trump rally and in a Make America Great Again hat. Authorities also seized a white van covered in political decals. He also has an extensive criminal record, with at least 8 arrests. One was for threatening to bomb a utility company.

The busted perp has been arrested nearly a dozen times in Florida, including a 2002 arrest for making a bomb threat. His criminal record in the state extends to the early 1990s, starting with his arrest for larceny at the age of 29, according to state records. Other charges of larceny, grand theft and fraud would soon follow across the southern part of the state.
In the 2002 bomb threat case, Sayoc pleaded guilty to the felony without a trial and was sentenced to probation, the records show.
Of course, there will now be reams of deflections in the wake to try and make this asshole seem as innocuous as Saint Francis of Assissi. Even his lawyer, Daniel Aaronson,  gushed:
"None of my clients were as polite and as courteous and as respectful to me."
Ever heard of putting on an act, bub?   But see, in the end it doesn't matter one whit how "courteous" this slime ball was to a lawyer, but rather the amount of harm he might have potentially inflicted on his targets. And, no,I do not buy the codswallop he peddled that "all of those were harmless" referring to the mail bombs.  As FBI Director Chris Wray made clear: "None of these were hoax bombs".
The reason is that NY and federal  investigators all made it clear they were damned dangerous, even equating them to IEDs. The one that ended up at Robert DeNiro's place, for example, could have blown his eyes out or fatally injured him had the mail not been intercepted by a former NYPD detective.  (Give that guy an extra raise, Robert!)
According to a Washington Post account:
"Social media profiles that apparently belonged to Sayoc were filled with conspiracy theories and antipathy toward liberals. "
Let's correct that: His assorted twaddle did not have conspiracy theories but rather paranoid conspiracy ideations. (See my previous post).
We will wait now to see if the Right's liars and fomenters finally admit their guy is one of them and not a "leftist plant" or "secret FBI agent".  I am not sanguine about any of them becoming mental changelings because they have already taken the Trump kool aid - as disastrous for their brains as Jim Jones' cyanide-laced purple mix was for his followers at Jonestown, Guyana in  August, 1978.
Besides, even Trump is more concerned with the effects of the arrest on "GOP momentum" according to a tweet this morning, not the lives that could have been snuffed out or bodies permanently maimed. He also still spouts hollow bollocks about stopping political violence but don't believe it for a second.  The words are empty,  totally detached from any heart felt investment.  The man possessed the moral capacity of a slug before and that hasn't changed.  The toxins destroying this nation will not and cannot be diluted or removed until Trump is out. As in gone.
I can fully understand the Right's millions of Reddit, 4Chan, Gateway Pundit, FOX and other trolls wanting to bolt from this character, but eventually they will have to suck up reality- especially after the midterm elections and voters finally declare with their ballots they've had about enough of Donald J. Trump running amuck and Trumpie lunatics providing cover for his crimes.

Enough? You bet after a rally last night, where his shrieking cultists kept on with "CNN sucks!" while the maggot-in-chief did nothing to tone it down though he yapped through his ass again about "civility".  Meanwhile invoking the tired false equivalence trope that "when a Bernie Sanders supporter tried to murder congressional Republicans and a great man named Steve Scalise and others we did not use that heinous attempt at mass murder for political gain."

Except there's a world of difference, you fucktard!  Bernie Sanders, unlike fucktard Dotard has NEVER incited or called for violence at ANY rallies he's ever held.  By contrast, fucktard Dotard has regularly called reporters "enemies of the people" and encouraged his zombies to "knock the crap out of protesters" and recently praised a congressman (Greg Gianforte) for body slamming a Guardian reporter.  So don't even go near any such false equivalence.

Trump is a blight and cancer on this nation and the sooner he's removed from office, the more quickly we have a chance of regaining some semblance of sanity.

Update:  10/ 27

Of course, realizing ordinary false equivalence might not work, the WSJ's editors decided to try a different ploy today ('After The Mail Bombs', p. A12), insisting:

"We cite the Hodgkinson (Scalise) shooting not for the purpose of establishing moral equivalence  between these two events, but to make clear both came from the country's extreme lunatic fringe."

Nice try, but you'd have done better to admit the Right's lunatic fringe is 100 times the size of the Left's with its "Q" Anon conspiracy bunkum, and massive online enclaves of dregs like 4Chan, Reddit, Gateway Pundit etc. where Trumper zombies gather and trade lies and hate by the millions. There is no comparable social media wasteland on the Left, hate to break it to you.

Grandstanding Gowdy Needs To Just Shut The Hell Up - And Let Mueller Investigation Finish

"You all gotta either give us what yuh got or else!"

I told Janice less than a month ago that Trey Gowdy would soon become Trump's top attack dog and quisling again, rivaling Devin Nunes for that honor.  She retorted: "But he said barely a week ago there was no 'spygate' conspiracy as the other Reeps had believed, and the FBI acted with propriety! He also said the Mueller probe shouldn't be shut down!"

Yeah, well that was a while ago and before he took heat from Rush Limbaugh, the Foxites, and other far right media goons.  Now, yesterday, at the House Judiciary hearing grilling of Chris Wray and Rod Rosenstein, we saw the new, brash and bullying edition of grandstanding Gowdy - challenging the Deputy AG to either deliver the goods, or shut the Mueller investigation down.  This South Calinky Trump lackey's exact words?

There’s an old saying that justice delayed is justice denied. I think right now all of us are being denied.  Whatever you got — finish it the hell up, because this country is being torn apart.”

It's pretty choice that  Gowdy  is so exercised about the country  being  "torn apart"  when the GOP  and Trumpie fascists  are  doing  a damned  good job of that on  their own.   The Trump cabal via their  fascist  policies and the GOP for  defending them  and  the pro-  Russian  traitor  occupying  1600  Pennsylvania  Avenue.  So why the 180 degree change?  First, let's recognize the towering hypocrisy given this same goober spent years investigating Benghazi and wasting millions of taxpayer bucks in the process. In addition, some may recall it was during that grandstanding that he accidentally leaked the name of an intelligence source.  But Trey Gowdy obviously has no shame, or sense of irony.

Second, recall at the time of the Benghazi circus, Gowdy told The Washington Post he had "no qualms about how long the investigation dragged on"  because his job was to "report the facts".  Well, what the hell does he think Mueller has done with 4 guilty pleas and 19 indictments?

The real reason Gowdy is doing his about face is that he knows he's leaving congress and has to make things right with the Radical Right given he is angling for a judicial post.  Having been roasted alive for his "no Spygate" comments, as I told Janice, he now has to go to the other end - and with the other Reepo quislings, order Rosenstein to "finish the investigation" (forgetting it is Mueller's to run, not Rod's) and threatening impeachment or other punishments if the Deputy AG doesn't deliver millions of pages more documents to these assholes.

As one legal specialist put it on CNN this morning, there is no legal basis for this at all, no legal teeth and it's mostly for "political show".  The most these Trump tools in the House will be able to get is a "contempt"  citation, like they did with then AG Eric Holder during Obama's  last term. This prompted blonde bimbo Poppy Harlow to respond: "Yes, a political show which is done on both sides."  Huh? Yet another babbling airhead, who likely thinks or believes the images and audio sounds of kids locked up in Trump's child detention centers ("tender age shelters")  were played by Dems as a "political show".  Which again proves my point that certain media niches, including the WaPo now, are finding it more and more difficult to cover this loathsome administration with a proper perspective.

Too many media nabobs now seem to have fallen to the same blind and shallow standards as Dan Henninger of the WSJ who wrote yesterday ('Teeing Off On Trump', p. A15):

"Psychologists will study for years how a candidate and now president  - whose substantive threat to 'our democracy'  consists mainly of unprecedented boorishness -  drove normally temperate people into a frenzy."

Seriously?  Unprecedented boorishness?  Fracturing families.  Locking toddlers up in cages.  Cheering on Nazis that ran over and killed a demonstrator in Charlottesville, Virginia last year. These qualify as mere "boorishness"?  Clearly, Henninger fails to see how noisome an op-ed writer he is to defend a traitor put into power by a hostile foreign power. Also one who is arguably at least partly responsible for the slaughter that occurred yesterday at the Annapolis Capital Gazette, given his incessant attacks on the press.  What fucking planet is Henninger living on? Surely not this one.   As I wrote in previous posts, anyone, any American,  not outraged at this ongoing political abomination is not paying attention. I will go further, and assert they don't merit being called Americans or citizens. They more qualify as passive zombies, with the moral percipience of slugs -- like Poppy Harlow.

Confirming his outlandish and deformed perspective Henninger actually had the nerve to write that while the "left" devolves into "frenzies that turn ugly when politics doesn't go their way", the Right  "mostly gets grouchy defining people out of conservatism."

Oh really?   Just grouchy?  Guess you conveniently forgot about all the assassination efforts at abortion clinics, e.g.

http://brane-space.blogspot.com/2015/12/right-wing-terrorist-dear-admits-guilt.html

As well as running down progressive protesters (like Heather D. Heyer)  with an automobile in Charlottesville last year, e.g.
Rescue workers assist people who were injured when a car drove through a group of people in Charlottesville. Some of the injured tended to after one of the racists rammed them with a car in Charlottesville, VA last August.

Yeah, the Right's minions are just "grouches" when things get testy in the political sphere.   But Henninger's PR piffle, and Poppy Harlow's "two sides" bunkum,  shows what happens when the moral compass of too many gets blunted and desensitized, for whatever reason.  This is what's happening now and the deluge of morally corrupt or despicable acts is not going to halt, certainly not until some form of political balance is restored and we emerge from being a one party state wherein separation of powers is rapidly vanishing.  As I told Janice, we need to toughen up and fight until the bitter end, whatever that might be. We cannot and must not devolve to mere weeping and gnashing of teeth over what this parade of foul vermin is doing to our nation and its reputation.

Gowdy's performance yesterday is but one example, and we can't expect the Right to stop their efforts to torpedo justice or attempt to blunt the moral perspectives of millions.   This is why - in terms of the House Judiciary hearings - it is well to bear in mind Rep. Jerrold  Nadler's words:

"What is really going on here is a bad-faith effort by the majority to interfere in an ongoing investigation."

Time will tell whether we are still a nation of laws and justice, or whether one narcissistic egomaniac can turn the country into his personal fascist fiefdom, to do with as he damned well pleases.

Excerpt:

"This week, in a 5-4 ruling of the conservative majority, the Supreme Court dealt a stinging, bigoted blow to justice and equality, ruling for President Donald Trump’s travel ban ― a ban that lower courts ruled unconstitutional by virtue of Trump’s repeated hateful and discriminatory statements against Muslims. A 5-4 anti-abortion ruling came the same day, one day after a ruling allowing racial gerrymandering of congressional districts. And then came Wednesday’s stunning attack on public sector labor unions, another 5-4 ruling.

As if all that isn’t horrifying enough, Justice Anthony Kennedy ― the swing vote on so many issues, including marriage equality and LGBTQ rights ― announced he is retiring, handing Trump the opportunity to put another hard-right justice on the court.

Seriously? Most 'Muricans Don't Believe Mueller Has Any Criminal Evidence?

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, closeup
Is this what Americans have now become?  Ignorant yahoos who are prepared to give Trump full control of our nation, without a fight?

"Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. Power is ever stealing from the many to the few." - Wendell Phillips (1811- 1884)

"A woman asked Benjamin Franklin, 'Sir,  do we have a monarchy or a Republic?' Franklin replied, 'A  Republic, if you can keep it."

"The demagogue is one who preaches 'facts' he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots." - H.L. Mencken

"From a new poll, Americans are amazingly uninformed about the most basic facts of the Mueller probe."  - Chris Hayes, 'All In', last night, responding to new poll.

In terms of Benjamin Franklin's retort to the inquiring woman, it appears we may not be able to keep our Republic, given a recent poll shows 59 percent do not believe Robert Mueller has found any evidence of crimes in his investigation of the Trump cabal, vs. 41 percent who do.  The 41 percent are, of course, the true citizens given THEY have been paying attention and are not mesmerized by Trump's thousands of lies and distractions, disinfo.

Former DOJ spokeman Matt Miller on 'All In' discussed how the Trumpies are winning by "throwing things against a wall" virtually every day to see how many can stick and keep the body politic distracted,  confused or on the cusp of outrage fatigue. He noted:

"They just have to keep something else (from the Mueller probe) going, and it started over a year ago with the allegation that Trump Tower was wiretapped, moving on to unmasking, moving on to allegations that Jim Baker at the FBI leaked things, moving on to Uranium one. They just have to come up with a new allegation every few weeks... It doesn't even have to be founded. You just start with allegations then move it into a process and a committee on the Hill  that starts investigating. Or they put enough pressure on the deputy attorney general for an IG investigation, and now there's two separate ones... They just have to throw enough chum in the water that there's a little bit of a distraction from the constant drumbeat of negativity against Trump."

Reading Miller's sum up it appears no one can blame Americans for being inundated, mentally blitzed into acquiescence and normalizing the human virus inhabiting the Oval Office.  But sorry, that doesn't cut the mustard. A true citizen puts down his or her  celllphone, pays attention and fully learns - because s/he is well informed  - how to separate wheat from chaff, signal from noise  And if 41 percent could do it, why not the other 59 percent?

Maybe they never read of or learned the meaning of the old saying (from Wendell Phillips,  not Thomas Jefferson or Patrick Henry, as sometimes claimed) that "eternal vigilance is the price of liberty". Incredibly, some people don't even know what the hell eternal vigilance means, given I've seen questions to that effect on Quora.  Simplifying, it means the citizen can never rest, can never take his attention off the seat of power - what his leaders are doing. Further, s/he can never stop reading widely.

It means the constant exercise of scrutiny over power and critically parsing it in all its aspects. It means that one has paid attention to the Mueller probe enough to KNOW it has already secured 19 -  that is NINETEEN - indictments, and five guilty pleas, as well as a remarkable trail  of Trump's criminal associates, such as Felix Sater, former mobster and convicted child pornographer.  In other words, we can ascertain the only true citizens are the 41 percent in the recent poll who KNOW that Mueller has uncovered crimes, while the 59 percent majority are wrong in their belief Mueller has found nothing. These losers are a disgrace to the ideals of our Republic and have lost touch with reality  - whatever the vehicle by which it happened. Maybe too much time on social media, maybe too much outrage fatigue or they simply have given up trying to differentiate fact from fiction. As when Trump blabbed yesterday, without a scintilla of proof, that we have a new "spygate"  because the FBI "planted spies in his campaign".

However, I don't cut any slack for those who buy into such lies, given Trump is a compulsive, pathological liar and has already told over 3,000.  Hence, your default position as a citizen has to be to disbelieve anything Trump claims. That started with his insane claim of Obama wiretapping him last year.   See e.g.

http://brane-space.blogspot.com/2017/03/trump-reverts-to-psychotic-blames-obama.html

Citizens have to be able to discern bullshit bollocks from truth, and who the good guys are.  Hint: any president who's surrounded himself with  a host of criminals isn't a good guy!

Discernment and eternal vigilance also mean being able to tell a bogus (e.g. House Intel) investigation from a real one (e.g. Mueller's and the Senate Intel Committee investigation). It also means being able to judge that Devin Nunes is a phony and bad actor, as well as traitor, whose sole object is to run interference for Trump.  Further, that all this latest dust up about an "FBI informant" is more disinformational nonsense designed to confuse the ordinary person, the one without enough critical thinking skills or political -historical knowledge.

The REAL citizen, the one who is informed and eternally vigilant, ought to be absolutely apoplectic about a meeting today,  between Chris Wray, Rod Rosenstein and other DOJ officials with Trumpie whores Devin Nunes and Trey Gowdy.    This is over the so-called FBI informant and documents pertaining to his actions.   These are now being reviewed by the DOJ's Inspector General, and everyone - that is every citizen who's alert, aware and vigilant, will know in advance when his conclusion comes back the Trump enablers and defenders will squawk it's "not enough"..  Of course not, because they want enough to wreck or undermine the Mueller investigation.

Lastly, the astute citizen - the real one - may wish to check out this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtT4UwW_5oY

of Leslie Stahl's interaction with Trump over his incessant media browbeating. (Trump said he bashes the press to "demean" and "discredit" reporters so that no one will believe negative stories about him.)   Thus, he's given away his M.O.

Can We All Finally Admit Trump Is A Traitor?

Image result for Trump as Traitor

Some folks, ensconced in media or defensive personal bubbles,  will likely believe this question is hysterical or off the wall. But seriously, think about it for a moment. What the hell would you call the chief executive of a country - who has been repeatedly informed (most recently via Senate Intel Hearings) -    about an impending hacking of our next election,  but chooses not to do a fucking thing? If this bastard is not a traitor then what the hell is he? Tell me!

Yesterday in open hearings,  the heads of all the nation's intelligence agencies were asked if anything proactive was being done to protect the integrity of our midterm elections. Their answers all dovetailed: none had received  specific orders from the "president".  (I use scare quotes because I do not regard the turd occupying the office as legitimate and I certainly have no respect for him.  Those I have respect for I refrain from calling "turds", "offal" and "vermin".)

Sen. Angus King was so enraged in his questioning he nearly popped a blood vessel, asking: "How am I supposed to deal with this when the citizens of my state merely shrug shoulders about the risk to elections and say they believe the President?"  This is in regard to Trump's failure to do a goddamned thing to thwart foreign interference, even hacking of the states' voter rolls..  Indeed,  Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats was adamant at yesterday's hearing:

"Frankly, the United States is under attack. "

Again, if one knows the scale of the threat -and is the head of  the country -but does nothing to stop it what does that make him? It tells me he is a traitor, no euphemisms, no bullshit.

Coats went on to note that "the risk of inter state conflict is the highest at any time since the Cold War."  This is based on a 28-page intelligence community report, asserting that Russia views the 2018 elections aa a potential target for hacking units backed by the Russian government, Recall in 2016 the GRU was behind the hacks in the effort to get Trump into office.

A number of Senators pressed the intelligence chiefs on whether Trump was taking the threat seriously. Sen Jack Reed, for example, asked: "Has the president directed you and your agency to take specific actions to blunt or confront Russian hacking activities that are ongoing?"

The answer from FBI head Christopher Wray: "We have no actions being taken specifically directed by the president."

The same answer was delivered by the other intel heads.

In other words, Traitor Trump is prepared to let it happen all over again.

Recall last month, in the midst of secretly meeting in D.C.  with Russian intelligence agents (which we only learned because Russian News broadcast it)  Trump refused  to impose additional sanctions on Russia for its meddling in the presidential election. This despite near unanimous support from congress and total agreement from intel agencies.

Experts note that as Trump simply ignores this issue the cyber attacks will become much more effective. What would be done with such a traitor president even fifty years ago?   Let me give you a clue: In late 1962, and early '63 JFK was believed to have been a traitor for: 1) allowing removal of Jupiter missiles from Turkey to appease the Russians after the Cuban Missile crisis, 2)  signing a nuclear test ban treaty with Nikita Khrushchev and 3) planning a total pullout of U.S. troops from Vietnam by calendar year 1965.   Of course, Kennedy's moves were only perceived to be traitorous, where in fact they were in the national interest. He was not, after all, conniving with Russians (the then USSR) to undermine U.S. elections or enabling any kind of attacks on the homeland.

Hmmmmm....seems to me the notorious "deep state" so often cited by the Trumpsters, sees no reason to act even as our entire election system is befouled and compromised.

Just saying..

All this has unfolded even as we also learned yesterday that  FBI director, Chris Wray contradicted the Dotard  White House about when the bureau had completed a background investigation of former Trump aide Rob Porter. The bum  resigned last week following compelling allegations of domestic violence, which features a black eye on one of the victims - Colbie Holderness.

Predictably, the Trumpies  claimed ignorance of any allegations of spousal abuse against Porter, who was promoted to become a close aide to Dotard.  That  continued until the moment Holderness'  graphic photos were published.   It was then left to the lying sack of shit, John Kelly, to try to explain it away i.e. "I only discovered there was an ongoing investigation 40 minutes after the allegations and the photos' release." Blah blah.

But Wray testified before Congress that the FBI had submitted a completed background investigation on Porter to the White House in July 2017 and later supplied two follow-up reports.

We administratively closed the file in January” of 2018, Wray said, setting a date months before the White House officials said they knew about the allegations.

In other words, these vermin are consummate liars as well as traitors.  And they have the absolute balls to flaunt the red, white and blue? They really need a firing squad, like in the old days when treason was actually punished.

The saddest aspect? There are still too many of our citizens whose minds have been polluted by FOX News and WSJ editorial propaganda to be convinced this is all a Hillary-DNC plot to overthrow the Trump "election".   In fact, Trump and his crew of treacherous rats have done that all by themselves.  By their collusion with the Russkies (Trump has contacted Putin 8 times in the last year)  they've shown  they are illegitimate heirs to power - proven by the fact they needed the assistance of a foreign adversary to gain it.

As Janice has also pointed out, we may never ever be able to repair the damage these foul reprobates have done to our country. Each day they remain in power lasting assaults are inflicted on our civil discourse, our nation's honor and security, as well as our democratic institutions.  Many, indeed, e.g. David Frum in 'Trumpocracy",  believe the sowing of aberrational new debased "normals" poses a destructive force by itself.

I can just imagine my Revolutionary War ancestor Conrad Brumbaugh's reaction to this perfidy: "Is THIS what I and others fought for in the War of Independence, to put a future traitor and tyrant into the seat of  power?"
