Mensa 3D Circle Geometry Problem

An interesting problem which combines geometry (in 3 dimensions) with algebra.

The Problem:  A cube has a side of length s. A blue circle is inscribed on one face of the cube. Another red circle is circumscribed about a neighboring face.

Find the minimal distance between any point  on the first circle and any point on the second circle.
